Kimberley Camping Hire has been in operation for over 12 years. At the beginning of March 2007, My Husband Shane and I purchased Kimberley Camping Hire, after a very successful first “Tourist Season” we saw how huge the demand was for high quality, reliable camping equipment hire with great customer service. This lead us to the purchase of Gibb River Camping Hire in November 2007, thus doubling our equipment and making us the only Camping Hire Business catering for the Kimberley region.

We now have 3 Camper Trailers, Satellite Phones and everything from swags to tents to cooking equipment. We believe our equipment list has everything that is required to make your Kimberley Camping experience comfortable, safe and one of the most memorable experiences of your life.

Being Situated in Broome, Western Australia our location provides a great base to start your Kimberley Adventure. Our “Dry Season” begins around May through to October, and is typically the most popular time to visit, with beautiful clear sunny days with the average temperature of 30°c, whilst still enjoying calm, cool temperatures around the mid teens at night. Broome does not generally experience rainfall during these months making it a perfect time to get outside and enjoy the camping experience. The “Wet Season” is from November to April and shows a whole different side to the Kimberley Region. The days are hot and the nights can warm and balmy, however Broome tends to be quieter in regards to visitors. Rain does not fall constantly, with downpours usually not beginning until December. The build-up of thunderstorms and lightning offer a fantastic photo opportunity and the most beautiful sunsets seen.

With iconic landmarks such as Cable Beach, it’s hard to see why you want leave and head out into the rugged Kimberley. It’s not until you see the pristine beach and pindan rocks of Kooljamin Cape Leveque - 4 hours north of Broome that you realize the depth of beauty the North West of Australia has to offer. Travelling further north brings you to the beginning of the Gibb River Road, one of the Australia’s most popular, spectacular self drive holiday destinations. Travelling the 660kms of the Gibb River Road, you will experience sensational Gorges, breathtaking waterfalls and astounding flora and fauna. Meeting travellers alike and Kimberley characters along the way will add to your unforgettable experience.
